Stephani Austin is the owner and Artistic Director of Excite Music Studio. 

She has a Master's Degree in Music Education, completed her certification as a National Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) in 2015 for piano, and has taught private piano for over 10 years. 

Favorite thing about teaching:
1) Watching students play something that they didn't think they could.
2) Those "light bulb" moments when a concept or piece just comes together in their mind.  
3) When a student finds a piece of music that just lights them up inside.

Least favorite thing:  I always have songs in my head.  And it's usually the super simple beginner songs - on repeat.  Sometimes I even wake up with a song in my head! 😂 Okay, so that's not that bad. 

Favorite pieces to play: Debussy's Arabesque, well done arrangements of hymns, Wendy Stevens music, and things my students will think are exciting and fun.
